And the countdown begins... 6 weeks!

Its 2008! Happy New Year everyone.. May this year be a good year for everybody!
Now a lookback at 2007. Quite a reasonable year, not too bad and not too good either.



On my own career, enjoy some ups and downs.. Left the media world to enter somewhere i would know nuts about. Banking. Well, its not a bed of roses in this line whereby the money will just flow into your pocket. Its real hardwork but the results can be seen significantly. Began everything at citibank, learnt a number of stuffs over there and of coz enjoyed the remuneration as well but I knew that there wouldn't be any future if i continue my stay there. Therefore once the opportunity of being in a programme that will be groomed as a Relationship Manager, I made the switch and went to DBS. Took a paycut, but well, these are the sacrifices you have to make for the future. Knew some great pals during my time in Citibank as well as DBS. Mark Chen - the cockster who will run for numbers only when my boss wants him to hit his targets. One great chill out buddy and soccer buddy. Evin - the good looking guy in Telesales team, some gals said he look Eurasian. ha.. another great chill out buddy, never fail to go out with us to alley bar after a long day of work and stress in office. Together with these two.. we formed the dark side trio.. Pity though, its only for abt 1/2 yr or so.. I left for DBS, Mark left for OCBC and Evin stayed behind with the citibank team.. Over at DBS, there's John, Melvin and Jayden. the 3 other guys with me together in this financial executives position. Knew them better during our time to work together as a team for Kids@Work. Never fail to go for some drinks and chill out at brewerkz when we have late meetings, just got tired and head for some drinks. ha..





Now in 2008, whereby all kinds of stress will come in plus the fact that we will be RMs by the end of this year. Its a challenging year ahead and where i will really kickstart my career.

On my relationship, this year is pretty smooth sailing. One very good thing and worthy to celebrate is that my gf Sher is back for good and we managed to go through a whole year of long distance relationship unaffected. Well, the odds weren't on us being still together given our characters and that we've didn't get together for long before she flew off. Chances of meeting up were very few during this whole year, but everytime when we met up, we never fail to spend the day happily as if we weren't apart at all. Guess the whole chemistry and communication between us works everything out just nice.. Well, she is also one reason why I would want to work harder and succeed in my job.. to be able to provide for her in the future if possible. :) Now in 2008, am hoping that everything would be even better than 2007 and we will just enjoy this year as well. Toodar.. Loving you always. :)

On my personal life, 2008 will prove to be a challenging year for myself. With me hitting the books and study again, it will really see how i can stretch my limit in terms of time management. In between all these, I'm taking a car licence as well.. TP in April.. not forgetting all the insurance and investments papers that i have to take. Well, everyone would go through this part time schooling phase at some point in life.. i just taking it now.. (I believe there are a zillion others doing the same thing as me now.. If they can.. Why cant I?) Yep. Work hard and i will reap the results.. *gambette!!*

On my friends, Chris is working in the banking industry as well.. am not sure if he really wants to be personal banker n but i guess its a matter of time before he steps into this role.. all the best to him.. Ryan is doing well at a media company, finally moved out from another firm into this one whereby he is given lots of opportunity to be a camera asst, or cameraman apart from his job as an editor.. very good learning curve. Darius.. well, is working his way to be a sound engineer, just that he is in the wrong company i think.. Freaking pay him!! ha.. Mark Ke is doing well in own shop thingy, still unsure if he wants to invest.. Oei. The longer u wait, the higher the offer is going to be.. its either now or never mark.. u need to make a decision fast. You have been delaying in for a bit too long ya? Belle and phoe on is happily together and phone is moving to punggol soon.. Welcome to the northern area. Ha.. Looks like mahjong sessions, and hangouts with them is going to be so much easier soon.. All northern ppl! hahaha.. Fu n Qin are just getting on with their own lives.. work hard for your future. :)
